background

canada would like to gauge industry interest in providing credit reporting services for personnel screening as follows:

(a) acquisition of complete consumer credit reports submitted electronically to the service provider, both in individual query and bulk xml query format;
(b) client support services, including in-house training sessions, and troubleshooting and it support; and
(c) delivery of complete consumer credit reports in electronic format, in a clear and timely manner. The scope of the work to be performed and the limitations of the authority of the service provider will be further defined in any resulting procurement vehicle, and may be based on industry feedback obtained through this request for information (rfi).

note: this requirement is for the purchase of consumer credit reports for personnel screening only. With the exception of question 3.19, industry is requested to respond to the questions in this rfi solely as they pertain to consumer credit reports for personnel screening.

purpose of the rfi

in order to deliver the requirement as described above, canada is seeking information on current suppliers of credit reporting services.

the main objectives of this rfi are as follows:

(a) determine the capability of suppliers to provide the services described above;
(b) solicit feedback and recommendations on any issues that would impact a supplier?s ability to fulfill the requirement, and more specifically, any issues pertaining to limitation of liability; and
(c) solicit industry knowledge and expertise with regard to best practices that would increase the likelihood of a successful outcome for this requirement and/or similar requirements.
