Requested Services:

The Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development has launched the preparation of plans for the strategic development and land use in all 10 regions of Cameroon. This Ministry receives support from the Sector Program Forest and Environment to elaborate the Regional Land use and Sustainable Development Plan of the South-West Region.

The study shall consist in:

describe the context, the national process for the drawing up of the territorial plans and the localization of the territory under study (taking into account the process of drawing up the territorial plans for sustainable development of the other Regions of Cameroon as well as the National Zoning Plan);
make an inventory of available information, available geographical data (map layers, formats, scales, etc.), satellite imagery, available baseline studies, partner organizations and institutions in possession of such information, etc.;
draw up the current picture of the territory, development policy and development instruments in place;
carry out a diagnostic analysis of the present state of the territory of the Region;
prepare a prospective analysis of the territory of the Region bringing out clearly the key drivers of socio-economic and cultural development of the South West region; etc.
