The Government of Jamaica (GOJ), through the United Nations Environment Programme, has received financing from the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The GOJ intends to apply part of the proceeds to implement the National Sub-Project 1.4 Biodiversity Mainstreaming in Coastal landscapes within the Negril Environmental Protection Area of Jamaica, for the engagement of a Consultant Firm. The selected Consultant will undertake assessment on Impact of Approved Development on the Environment. The purpose of the consultancy is to, among others, assess the extent to which NEPA-s approved developments have impacted (positive or negative) the natural environment and to provide the Agency with appropriate recommendations for improvements, policy amendments and programmatic response.
