Description of the Project and the Mission:
The Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests (" MAPMDREF " or the " Client ") of the Kingdom of Morocco has obtained a loan and grants from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (“ EBRD ” or the “ Bank ”) and intends to use part of the amount of the grant to make payments under the following contract: Technical assistance to the Regional Office for Agricultural Development of the Moulouya (" ORMVAM”) Of the MAPMDREF to support the implementation of the activities of the“ Saiss and Garet water conservation project - Garet component ”. The Project aims to renovate and modernize the water distribution network in the Garet plain in order to develop more productive agriculture with high added value while ensuring efficient and sustainable management of water resources.
The Project Management Unit (“ PMU ”), the Project implementation unit, is an administrative and technical unit of ORMVAM created for the sole purpose of implementing the project. It is made up of ORMVAM officials who are all experienced in the implementation of projects of this scope, and who are used to working with International Financial Institutions (“ IFIs ”). The PMU is part of ORMVAM.
The Client is currently looking for a consultant (the “ Consultant ”) whose main role is to support the services of ORMVAM and MAPMDREF in the engagement of stakeholders and capacity building (the “ Mission ”).
The objective of this technical cooperation project is to collaborate with the main stakeholders, and to develop the fundamental skills and the sustained knowledge of the final beneficiaries through the following activities:
