Tenders are invited for Consultant: Staff Wellbeing 18-395.

Task Description: Consultantwill serve as the Consultant - Staff Wellbeing on the “Provision of quality primary health care and protection services for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and conflict-affected people in Libya” funded by USAID/OFDA program in Libya. Specifically, Consultant will complete the following tasks:

Dimensions:

· To support and collaborate with IMC Libya team to develop a contextually appropriate (i.e. working in ongoing conflict / protracted / emergency context) wellbeing staff training package, that can be rolled out across IMC Libya to support all staff. Training will be delivered in collaboration with HR (and with support from the IMC staff wellbeing officer).is there already a staff wellbeing officer in place? It would be helpful to see their JD as well please to ensure they match?

· To support and collaborate with IMC Libya to develop a “wellbeing kit” which can support staff from across a range of backgrounds and needs to be aware and support their own wellbeing, and therefore reduce the likelihood of “burn out”.

· To deliver, when necessary, individual / group therapy sessions to all international and national Libya staff.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

In collaboration with the Director-Human Resources, the HR team, Libya wellbeing officer and Global MHPSS Advisor, provide technical support on IMC Libya-s staff wellbeing programming and practice:

Program quality and development

1. Mapping of staff needs / knowledge / coping strategies: conduct a field assessment of current IMC activities, any ongoing staff wellbeing iniatives and current staff wellbeing needs and coping strategies.

2. Staff wellbeing training and mentorship: Co-develop and delivera “staff wellbeing package” for all IMC staff working in Libya that supports them to maintain good physical and mental health, thereby protecting them from “burn out” and ensuring they can work optimally to support IMC

3. beneficiaries.

4. Therapeutic group / individual sessions: Provide, when necessary, individual and/or group therapy sessions to IMC Libya staff to help them mitigate extreme levels of stress and burn-out.

5. Mentorship of staff wellbeing officer team:work closely with staff wellbeing officer, and others where appropriate, to capacity build focal point people in this team to co-lead the delivery of the staff wellbeing training / support.

6. Development of staff wellbeing framework for IMC Libya staff:based on the mapping of staff needs and knowledge, and then the individual and group work sessions with staff, develop a pilot staff wellbeing framework that can be taken forward after the end of this consultancy.

Internal mechanisms and reporting

· Ensure the development of monthly plans for activities for staff wellbeing training and therapeutic sessions based on the

· Develop and maintain strong internal relationships with program managers, project teams and program support services teams to support the delivery of staff wellbeing packages

· Compile a concise weekly activity report, and end of consultancy outcome report

· Other duties as directed

· A Masters degree in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Psychology

· 3-5 years experience including in the provision of individual and group therapy sessions

· Extensive experience in developing and delivering staff wellbeing / stress reduction packages in a humanitarian or development program context

· Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent internal consultation and liaison skills; facilitation and coaching skills; problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility

· Excellent analytical abilities with strong results orientation

· Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written) is required
