Project: Women and Girls for Change
Consultancy: Prepare and provide training for Psychosocial Focal Points in three field locations (Gyaniel, Torit and Nimule)
Period: August / September 2018
Duration: 20 days (15 days training & 5 days preparation and report writing)

Introduction and context
Health Works, known as HealthNet in South Sudan and therefore HealthNet from here on out, is part of the NAP Consortium for South Sudan together with PLAN, PAX and STAD. The major role of HealthNet in this project is technical support, capacity building, mentoring and supervision of consortium partners’ staff providing psychosocial support to the beneficiaries. In addition, HealthNet can offer support to the consortium partners in integrating psychosocial aspects into their project activities when and where necessary.

In the first phase of the this project, October/November 2017, a group of social workers, community mobilizers, primary health workers, teachers, government staff were trained for 5 days on basic psychosocial support interventions, service mapping and referral mechanisms. These groups are refered to as the Psychosocial Focal Points (PFPs).
Building on last years’ training, the same group of people need to be trained for 5 days on the following topics:

· Mental Health Gap Action Programme (Psychosis, Addiction, Suicide);

· How to support survivors of (S)GBV (Listening and supporting skills, Psychosocial activities to support survivors, Working with stigma an discrimination;

· Case management (steps of case management, tools on case management, establishment of mapping and referral pathways).

Objectives of this assignment

1. To prepare the curriculum and methodology for training on the topics listed above.

2. To conduct training for Psychosocial Focal Points in three field locations namely Gyaniel (Former Unity State), Torit and Nimule (Former Eastern Equatoria State). Each training duration is of 5 days.

Scope of the work

· Prepare training schedules and share with HealthNet staff

· Finalize the training schedules based on the feedback from HealthNet and consortium partners.

· Develop a full curriculum for the training based on the finalized training schedule and share with HealthNet for feedback.

· Prepare training hands out for participants and provide to HealthNet for printing/photocopy.

· Deliver/facilitate three 5 days trainings in three different filed locations. The consultant will exercise throughout the training vast professional communication skills, respect the participant’s individuality and maintain confidentiality.

· Conduct the pre-post training evaluation and reflect together with HealthNet staff on the training outcome.

· Prepare training report and share with HealthNet staff for feedback.

· Finalize the training report based on the feedback provided by HealthNet staff.

Timeline
Between August to September, 2018 (for a total of 20 consultancy days including preparation and report writing). Please note these days don’t include the travel days and weekends for which no consultancy fee will be provided, only accommodation and per diem will be applicable on travel days and weekends.
