Consultant for Feasibility Study for the Establishment of the Togolese Investment Fund for the Outside Togo is a West African country with an area of 56, 600 km2 and a population of more than 7 millions of inhabitants. As in many developing countries, thousands of Togolese have expatriated in search of a better life.Togolese is found on all continents. It is estimatedat more than 2, 000, 000 people, more than half of whom live in Africa. Togolese diaspora remittances far exceed the official development assistance received by Togo in recent years and are on the rise. For example, in 2015 and 2016, migrant remittances rosein millions of US dollars to 441.4 and 464.7 respectively, against 440.8 and 441.9 for ODA. It is mainly intendedto support households' consumption expenditure. In recent years, the Government has been working to promote and make its diaspora a contribution to the social and economic development of the country. Several measures have been taken toamong other things, the organization of the week of Diaspora successes in rewarding Togolese from abroad who had an exceptional career, the setting up within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of a division in charge of projects of the diaspora, the removal of the visa for Togolese with dual nationality, the granting of the same benefitsto the diaspora that Togolese reside in Togo wanting to create companies, the creation of the website www.diasporatg.org. The above figures show the economic potentialthat constitutes the Togolese diaspora. However, very little data exists on its investment in the country's economy. The purpose of the study is to lead to the establishment of an investment fund.of the Togolese diaspora, enabling it to contribute to the economic and social development of the country
