Tenders are invited for Consultant for the Control and Supervision of the Construction Works of the Rosso Bridge and its Access Viaducts.

1. This Notice of Expression of Interest follows the General Procurement Notice issued on 28 November 2017 in UNDB, the website of the African Development Bank and the daily newspapers "Horizon and the Sun".

2. The Governments of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Republic of Senegal have received loans from the African Development Bank (AfDB) for the financing of the construction project for the Rosso Bridge. The two governments intend to use a portion of the amounts granted under these loans to finance the contract of services of a Consultant, relating to the control and supervision of the construction of the bridge and its access viaducts .

3. The services provided under this contract include:

• analysis and approval of the execution file;

• monitoring and verification of the work;

• verification and acceptance of the work;

• drafting of periodic reports;

• assistance to the Project Management Unit in the execution of the project and the acceptance of the works.

Benefits will be provided over a period of approximately thirty-two (32) months.

4. The Project Management Unit (PMU) invites interested consultants to apply for the services described above. Interested Consultants must provide information on their ability and experience demonstrating that they are qualified to perform these services. The criteria for establishing the short list are:

o General qualification in the field of supervision of infrastructure works of equivalent size (crossing works costing around two million euros (€ 2, 000, 000);

o Experience for similar missions (construction of prestressed concrete bridges built by successive corbels to be justified by attestations of services duly certified by the building owners under penalty of not being accepted);

o Technical, managerial and logistic organization; oAny other information deemed relevant.

5. The eligibility criteria, the shortlist and the selection procedure will be in accordance with " The Procurement Policy for Operations Funded by the Bank Group African Development Bank", approved in October 2015. and entered into force in January 2016, available on the Bank's website at http://www.afdb.org .

The interest shown by a consulting firm or a firm does not imply any obligation on the part of the Borrower to include it on the shortlist.
