Tenders are invited for Consultancy for Strengthening Hygiene Routines, O&M and Monitoring of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Public Schools in Kampala.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE

In a joint coordination with Kampala Capital City Authority, the German Cooperation with the GIZ program of "Sanitation for Millions" (S4M) is supporting sustainable WASH in Schools among other things. The programme is currently implemented in 16 public primary schools within Kampala Capital City and combines hardware with software interventions. All support is geared towards simple, scalable, sustainable and system-integrated (4S) interventions for WASH in schools which can be applied to all schools in Kampala.

Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a federal enterprise of the German Government and a provider of international cooperation services for sustainable development with over 50 years of experience in a wide variety of areas, including economic development and employment, water, energy and the environment, and peace and security.

GIZ S4M is looking for an experienced consultant to work with KCCA public schools on strengthening daily hygiene practices and operation Et maintenance processes around WASH in the schools and in supporting corresponding monitoring routines by the relevant administrative structures of KCCA.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Qualified and experienced consultants with over 10 years of experience in the education
sector and at least 5 years in WASH in Schools (WinS) with extensive working experience in Uganda on capacity building of school management (head teachers and sector and at least 5 years in WASH in Schools (WinS) with extensive working experience in Uganda on capacity building of school management (head teachers and teachers) and activities relating to behavior change for hygiene with teachers and school children.
