Tenders are invited for Consultancy Services for Supervision of Construction of Ubungo Intersection and Associated Works
1. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Dar es Salaam Urban
Transport Improvement Project (DUTP) and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds for Consultancy Services for Supervision of Construction of
Ubungo Intersection and associated works.
2. The Consulting Services (“the Services”) includes Supervision of Construction of Ubungo Intersection including Defects Liability Period. Total duration
of the assignment is sixty two (62) months out of which Construction Supervision – twenty six (26) months and Defect Liability Period – thirty six (36)
months
3. The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS), an Agency of the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication now invites eligible
consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating
that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: Eligibility, Experience on
Similar Assignments in the last ten (10) years, experience in similar conditions and availability of appropriate skills among staff related to the
assignment.
4. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under
IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011 (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on
conflict of interest.
5. Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a Joint Venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications.
6. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
