Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Services for the HIV/AIDS, STIs and Gender Sensitization under the Nacala Road Development Project Phase IV (Mwami/Mchinji - Zambian Side One Stop Border Post).

The Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) has received financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Construction of the Nacala Road Development Project Phase IV, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for the Consultancy Services for the HIV/AIDS, STIs and Gender Sensitization under the Nacala Road Development Project Phase IV (Mwami/Mchinji - Zambian Side One Stop Border Post).

The services included under this project are the HIV/AIDS, STIs and Gender Sensitization and their impacts on the implementation of the Project’s components of this One Stop Border Post (OSBP) establishment. This will involve implementation of environmental, gender and HIV/AIDS mainstreaming, and sensitization, including undertaking surveys and monitoring of output indicators. The consultancy services will be carried out periodically over the civil works construction period of approximately 18 months.

The Road Development Agency (RDA) now invites eligible Consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). The key experts envisaged for the assignment are (i) HIV/AIDS/TB/Malaria Specialist,

(ii) Sociologist and (iii) Gender Specialist. Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the shortlist and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” May 2008 Edition revised in July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
