Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Services for Establishment and Operationalisation of Farming as a Business Schools (FaabBs) for Smallholder Farmers.

1.1 E-SAPPGoals and Objectives

The Programme goal is 'to increase the incomes and food and nutrition security of rural households involved in market-oriented agriculture'. The Programme Development Objective (PDO) and central strategy of F.-SAPP is to increase the volume and value of agribusiness outputs sold by smallholder producers. E-SAPP will primarily work with 61, 000 smallholders categorized as follows: Category' A, 40, 000 Subsistence Fanners; Category B,
16.000 Economically Active Farmers; and Category C, 5, 000 Commercially Oriented Farmers.
2.0 Scope of Work

The consultancy will focus on modelling of the Faaas and formulation of curriculum and graduation criteria. The FaaBs model should bring together various stakeholders with diverse competences required to facilitate the adoption of sustainable and practical agribusiness practices among smallholder farmers. The model should demonstrate sustainable linkages between intermediary value chain actors (producer organisations, processors, retailers, etc) and smallholder producers within the operations of the Faaas.
