Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Services: Digital Registration of 60.000 Smallholder Farming Households in Selected Lgas of Adamawa and Borno States.

This request for expression of interest follows the general procurement procedures for this Agriculture Activity issued under the US Government’s Global Food Security Act and awarded by USAID Nigeria to IITA and its partners on 19th July 2019 as part of USAID’s contributions to the economic recovery in the North East.

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (ITA) has received a grant from the USAID Nigeria towards the cost of two-year Feed the Future Nigeria Integrated Agriculture Activity and intends to apply part of the proceeds under the contract for Digital Registration of 60, 000 Smallholder Farming Households in Selected Local Government Areas (LGAS) of Adamawa and Borno States respectively

The selected consultant will collaborate with the Activity and carry out the followings: Develop tools to conduct mapping of all communities and villages within the LGAS selected for Activity intervention, develop an instrument to capture the socio demographic details of prospective participants, develop a tool to assess the vulnerability of prospective participating households using the set criteria provided by IITA, develop clear methodology for the digital registration of 60, 000 smallholder farming households taking into consideration spread and inclusiveness within villages and communities, submit tools, instruments and methodology to IITA for review and approval, conduct mapping of all communities and villages within the LGAs selected for Activity intervention, train field enumerators and supervisors engaged by IITA, register 60, 000 smallholder farmers indicating their location coordinates, register youth and women with interest in entrepreneurial skills development issue barcodes that will be used to registered farmers, women and youths, develop a user friendly database with features to generate quick checks, analysis & reports and train the Activity staff on how to use the database.

IITA wish to invite eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services as outlined above and details would be provided as and when necessary. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, comprehensive company’s profile showing availability of appropriate skills among staff, e.g. companies’ name, postal and physical location addresses, phone number, fax numbers and email addresses), verifiable evidence of experience and reputation in the provision of similar services, certificate of incorporation or registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) or appropriate regulatory agency of government, valid income/personal income/tax clearance certificate for years 2016, 2017 and 2018, minimum of three (3) reputable organizations as referees and letter of confirmation from your Bank on credit worthiness. These are necessary for consultants to enhance their qualifications.

A Consultant will be selected on satisfying above requirements and in accordance with the provisions as set out in the relevant procurement regulations.
