Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy to Review the Malawi Tourism and Hotels Act and Related Laws and Develop a New Tourism Law under the Promoting Investment and Competitiveness in the Tourism Sector (Picts) Project

The services included under this project are:
a. Review Tourism and Hotels Act, CAP 50:01 and its regulations in line with the Tourism policy and best practices.;
b. Review the relevant Tourism legislation in Malawi and in the Sub Saharan Africa region based on best practices;
c. Review the relevant international conventions and protocols on Tourism, specifically those that Malawi has ratified;
d. Identify and analyse legal and regulatory issues that may hinder Tourism development;
e. Facilitate national stakeholder consultations and validation workshops for the review of the Tourism Law;
f. Present final drafts of the Tourism bill (s) to the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Wildlife and other relevant stakeholders; and
g. Produce a report of the recommendations contained in the draft bill (s).
