Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Consultancy: (Part-Time) Multimedia Specialist for UNICEF IMPACT Series and Schools for Africa investment case video, PFP.

UNICEF works in some of the world-s toughest places, to reach the world-s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, hope

UNICEF-s Private Fundraising and Partnership (PFP) has a new strategic plan, aiming to deliver on income, influence and brand recognition. A key driver of increased income is a strong brand and a key strategy to deliver that is through engaging content, to both build the brand and engender support.

PFP-s content team has launched a UNICEF Impact content series which aims to produce engaging, durable communication content that demonstrates the impact of UNICEF-s work globally. The multimedia content will consist of compelling and emotive visuals (photography) and videos.

The final content will be targeted to different private sector audiences: governments, business, individuals, and key influencers. It will have multiple uses - used by influencers and UNICEF supporters in the private sector markets to build the brand, promote the work of UNICEF, highlight needs for support and demonstrate to donors how their contributions are making a lasting difference in the lives of children all over the world. The content will also be pitched to selected international and regional media outlets for public advocacy.

PFP Supporter content team is looking to commission a multimedia specialist to produce two impact story packages (video, photo social media multimedia piece) in Moldova and Bangladesh. In Moldova, the story will focus on removing barriers for adolescent Roma girls to attend school. In Bangladesh. The IMPACT story will focus on efforts to provide women working on tea plantations (who often work long days in the field) with healthcare and educational support for their children.

In addition, UNICEF is launching Phase 4 of the Schools for Africa (SFA) initiative. This builds on the programme-s first three phases which contributed to major improvements in education over a period 12 years. The initiative will focus on furthering access and quality learning for children over the next four years by enlisting the support of private sector partners.

Compelling content is key to garnering this support and therefore the UNICEF PFP supporter content team seeks the services of a talented multimedia professional with experience in animation, who can conceptualize, script and produce a promotional video highlighting the investment case for the Schools for Africa in an interesting and informative manner through the use of animated infographics and UNICEF stock footage.

How can you make a difference?

The purpose of this consultancy is to provide quality communication content for the UNICEF Impact series and SFA communications material to inform private sector audiences of the benefits of investing in SFA.

The consultant will work closely with the PFP supporter content team as well as relevant country office/regional office counterparts to develop the multimedia material that can be used in different channels by private sector audiences.
