Tenders are invited for Consultancy for Conducting an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for a Slaughterhouse Waste Management Facility.

World Vision Lebanon is an International NGO working to create lasting changes in the lives of children, families and communities living in poverty in Lebanon.

WVL intends to award a contract that seeks the services of a professional engineering consultancy that has substantial experience in conducting environmental impact assessments (EIAs).

The Consultant shall support WVL in carrying out the whole EIA process, starting with the screening report and ending with the final EIA report, as outlined below:

· The screening report should be prepared and submitted as soon as a Consultant is hired
· The draft scoping report should then be prepared and submitted, including the different alternatives for the waste management facility. Field visits need to take place as necessary, in close coordination with the project staff. After receiving feedback from the Ministry of Environment (MoE), the final scoping report should be submitted. More than one round of feedback might be required
· A public consultation meeting should later take place. The Consultant is expected to take care of all necessary arrangements in coordination with the project staff and all relevant key stakeholders
· The draft EIA report should then be prepared and submitted, including a report from the public consultation meeting. After receiving feedback from the MoE, the final EIA report should be submitted. Again, more than one round of feedback might be required

An optional site visit will be held on Monday 8th of October 2018 in the presence of World Vision WASH Engineer. Interested candidates are to liaise with World Vision Procurement Department for site visit: 04-401 980 Ext 1087 by sending an email LBN_Procurement@wvi.org BEFORE the date of the site visit BY Thursday 4th OF October AT 2:00 PM.
Any requests for site visit after Thursday 4th OF OCTOBER AT 2:00 PM will be rejected.
