Since April 2019, the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has launched the implementation of a project co-funded by the European Commission Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) ) in the field of protection in the prefectures of Ouham and Ouham-Pendé. The main objective of the project entitled: Monitoring and protection response in the prefectures of Ouham and Ouham Pendé is to “Strengthen the protective environment of communities and individuals affected by the armed conflict in the Prefectures of Ouham and Ouham-Pendé ”.

From the beginning of July 2020, the rest of the ECHO-funded project will be implemented for a period of 12 months. DRC proposes the implementation of child protection activities in the prefectures of Ouham and Ouham-Pendé via this project to complete its package of Protection activities.

As part of the implementation of this project and following the opening of the child protection component, DRC is looking for a Child Protection and Protection specialist to (i) make a consultation with key informants in Child Protection, (ii) develop a theory of change and formulate recommendations for the Child Protection strategy of DRC in CAR, (iii) develop SOPs and tailor-made training modules for Protection DRC staff in order to implement this strategy and a high-quality, high-impact response.
