A new ct equipment capable of processing solid, liquid, semi-solid foods is required to facilitate this. Process optimisation and potential scale up is seen as essential by the food industry. The main features of the ct equipment should be user friendly which can be used to investigate physic-chemical properties; extraction of a range of compounds including edible oils from oilseeds, treatment of solid foods e.g. Meat for tenderisation etc. This processing capability along with process optimisation and potential scale up is seen as essential by the food industry.
