Scope of Work/Description : ?Qatar Petroleum Corporate HSE & Quality and Facilities Management (HSSE) are involved in providing accurate information when it comes to sampling and monitoring for physical, chemical, biological and radiation exposures to QP employees. This information is used by the Occupational Health Physicians and Corporate Radiation Protection Officer in determining the extent of exposure, and it's short and long-term health effects to field and office employees alike. The accuracy of the information relies heavily on the sensitivity of the industrial hygiene and radiation sampling and monitoring devices. The equipment used is highly sophisticated and extremely sensitive with accuracies ranging in parts per million, nanoSievert per hour or 0.1 dBA depending on the exposure being monitored (i.e. gases, noise, ionizing radiation, etc.…) In order to assure accurate reading and as per international and manufacturing regulations, the industrial hygiene and radiation equipment must be calibrated and maintained on a yearly basis. The overall objective of this contract is to carry out maintenance and calibration on an annual basis for all identified equipment within both Corporate HSE & Quality and Facilities Management (HSSE). Industrial Hygiene equipment is best calibrated and serviced at the original manufacturer's site. The manufacturer will calibrate the equipment as per their recommended calibration standard which is normally approved by International Standards and Testing Organizations such as NAMAS, UKAS, NVLAP, NIST, NPL, NIOSH, ANSI and SSDL to name a few. A certificate of calibration that is traceable to the above organizations is always provided for every single device calibrated. There are many third party calibration labs that are internationally accredited and certified to perform calibration on Industrial Hygiene and Radiation equipment.?
