The solicitation number, w912p8-17-b-0037, will issue as an invitation for bid (ifb), resulting in the award of a single firm fixed price (ffp) contract. The solicitation will be issued on or about 31 jul 2017. Actual issue date and anticipated bid opening will be shown when the solicitation is issued. All qualified business concerns may submit offers. Offers from large business firms must comply with far 19.7 and far clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan. The u. S. Army corps of engineers fy 17 subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractor s total planned subcontracting amount to be placed with the following: small business 41.50%; small disadvantaged business 23.5%; woman owned small business 7.5%; hubzone small business 7.92%; and service disabled veteran owned small business 5.18%.



The work consists of furnishing one fully crewed and equipped self-propelled trailing suction-type hopper dredge on a rental basis for the removal and satisfactory disposal of shoal material in the calcasieu river bar channel, cameron parish, louisiana. Work may be required in other areas of the new orleans district and in areas of both the galveston and mobile districts.



In accordance with dfars 252.236-204, disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the estimated value of this work is between $1, 000, 000.00 and $5, 000, 000.00.
