Scion are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably experienced suppliers to operate a Café and in-house catering service in the new Innovation Hub building currently being constructed and due for completion in April 2020.
Scion is redeveloping the campus to deliver modern, high-tech facilities, at a world-class standard and to maximise the potential of this unique site. We want to create a dynamic environment that will promote innovation, commercialisation and collaboration by bringing Scion staff and industry closer together and opening the campus to both our local community and the over 600, 000 visitors to the Redwoods every year. entral to this, is the creation of the Innovation Hub a collaborative space for Te Papa Tipu that encourages industry and science co-innovation and provides a space for the public to learn about Scion, our industry and the value that forests can bring to New Zealand.
The Hub will be our signature building on campus, designed using sustainable principles and showcasing timber technology. The three-level timber building comprises a public café and commercial kitchen, exhibition area, main reception, meeting rooms and working spaces.
The Innovation Hub is under construction. Suppliers must indicate on the EoI Registration Form, their interest in a site visit to sheryl.kirner@rdtpacific.co.nz by 5.00pm, Friday 13th September, after which a date and time will be arranged for interested parties to visit Scion. This will be the only chance to visit Scion prior to submitting your EoI.
