ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

The IFC Mozambique Investment Climate Project intends to enhance the competitiveness of the countrys investment climate by improving the regulatory environment for doing business. The Component Introducing Good Regulatory Practices for Business Inspections aims to reduce the burden of inspections on the private sector.

These ToRs are for a survey of approximately 500 active private businesses in Mozambique to collect quantitative and qualitative data about burden of inspections aimed at establishing the baseline data for the Project. The businesses should be either fully registered companies or licensed economic activities by the one-Stop-Shops (BAUs), the Municipalities or specific key sectors. The survey will be conducted in Maputo City, Maputo Province and Nampula Province.

The survey shall aim to cover all types of inspections and all sectors, with the aim to capture aggregate burden, coverage, differences between sectors, and some key facts on the most important inspections.

The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
