scope of work

contractor shall refer to the environmental compliance audit- burlington lift bridge, 2018 as it pertains to this project. contractor to follow requirements as outlined in report.

work of this contract comprises the replacement of windows in the north and south towers, control building and the workshop/changeroom building, at the burlington canal lift bridge, located at 1157 beach blvd, hamilton, ontario. the scope and extent of work is as shown on the drawings. replacement windows will consist of thermally broken, stainless steel window frames with insulating glass units.

remove, temporarily store, clean, alter to suit and reinstall:

.1 mechanical louvres.

.2 peregrine falcon nest box.

.3 exhaust fan.

seal holes or voids made by through penetrations, poke-through termination devices, and unpenetrated openings or joints to ensure continuity is maintained.

optional site visit

an optional site visit will be held on tuesday, november 22, 2018 at 10:00am. bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. interested contractors who wish to attend are required to give notice in writing with names of attendants. please contact the contracting officer, bob hassell at (416)590-8270 and email bob.hassell@pwgsc.gc.ca to confirm attendance. bidders are to meet at 1157 beach blvd, burlington, ontario, l8h 6z9.

notice must be provided to bob hassell in advance of optional site visit.

bidders will be required to register with the contracting authority bob hassell prior to the site meeting and provide name(s) of individuals attending.

bidders will be requested to sign an attendance form. bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

the duration of work is forty (40) weeks from date of award.
