Subject:-Triennial Term Contract for the Comprehensive Maintenance and Repair of Escalator Installations at Various Premises of the Hospital Authority (SC18E)

Description:-The scope of the Works includes maintenance and repair of Escalator installations in various premises of the Hospital Authority. The Works is scheduled to commence in September 2019 for expiry in August 2022.

Contractors Invited to Tender:-Selective tendering is adopted. Contractors on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of "Lift, Escalator and Passenger Conveyor Installation" or joint ventures with participation of local and/or overseas contractors with the lead participant or the major shareholder being on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of "Lift, Escalator and Passenger Conveyor Installation" who also meet the following qualifications and other conditions for participation stipulated in the tender documents are invited to tender.:-

(A) A Tenderer must be a registered Escalator contractor under the Lifts and Escalators Ordinance (Chapter 618 of the Laws of Hong Kong); and

(B) A Tenderer must have completed Escalator maintenance contracts in or outside Hong Kong within the past 5 years with the minimum accumulated awarded contract sum of not less than HK$ 6 million.

Contractors not yet on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of "Lift, Escalator and Passenger Conveyor Installation" may also submit a tender if they submit a request for participation together with a duly completed application for inclusion in the above-mentioned approved list/category by 12 July 2019 to Miss LIU Pik Ki, Becky, Health Sector Division, 6th Floor, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, 3 Kai Shing Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong, meet the qualifications and conditions for participation, and the application for inclusion is duly approved on or before the tender closing date. Contractors will be liable to have their names removed from the approved list(s) if they fail or refuse to implement an accepted tender.
