Tender Details

New Zealand is facing ever increasing biosecurity risks, both in scale and complexity. Current biosecurity readiness, response and long term management arrangements at Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) need to reflect and respond to these increasing risks.

The Biosecurity Response Services project is one of several being done by MPI to prepare for and deliver responses when a biosecurity situation arises. One key focus of the project is to better understand what goods and services are required to ensure biosecurity readiness and adequacy of response — and options for how goods and services are engaged and delivered going forward.

This RFI is part of the process being used by Biosecurity NZ, a business unit within MPI to consult and gather relevant information to enable us to better understand our biosecurity readiness, response and long term management services requirements, with the intention of developing and implementing an improved service delivery framework.

We are also seeking to establish the breadth and depth of the supplier market in the biosecurity readiness, response and long term management environment.

Contributions may be used to inform future decisions on MPI's readiness, response and long term management service requirements.
