It seeks to improve emergency preparedness, timeliness and quality of risk information and response actions for multiple natural hazards by ward, government (local to federal) and NGOs in a coordinated manner.

With funding from the European Commission’s Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) Christian Aid has implemented the E4E project from March 2018 in Benue, Kaduna and Plateau States to complement the already existing efforts of the state government. Implemented in 27 communities across 9 LGAs in these states, the project has strengthened the capacity of government and various structures to respond to prepare and respond to emergencies. There has been an improvement in the culture of information-based decision making to protect lives and livelihoods while ensuring human dignity is promoted for vulnerable disaster affected communities.

The project is currently in its last year of implementation and Christian Aid is looking for a consultant to document the successes of the project, highlight the impact on the lives of members of beneficiary communities and assess the challenges faced by the communities and other stakeholders with respect to early warning, early response and disaster management. Some of the key stakeholders on this project are: Community Disaster Management and Mitigation Platform (CDMMP), Community Search and Rescue Team (CERT) and Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC) in project communities, Disaster Management and Mitigation Platform (DMMP), Staff of State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), ECHO staff and Christian Aid staff

Objectives of the Documentary
