Summary Details:
The Ministry of Children and Families (MCFD) supports a broad range of services which assist children and youth to live successfully with their families and when it is not possible to live within their home communities. The Ministry provides intervention and support services for children, youth and their families which range from early childhood services to family supports. Services and supports are intended to promote healthy development, maximize positive outcomes and assist families in their role is primary caregivers. MCFD is seeking proposals from Proponents to deliver Art Therapy services in Salmon Arm.
Art therapy combines the creative process and psychotherapy, facilitating self-exploration and understanding. Using imagery, colour and shape as part of this creative therapeutic process, thoughts and feelings can be expressed that would otherwise be difficult to articulate. Art Therapists are trained professionals with expertise in counseling psychology and fine arts. The maximum annual budget available is $50, 000.00 for provision of these services. The expected start date for these services is August 01, 2021.
