Tenders are invited for Anchovy Integrated Infrastructure Project - St. James.
The Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) was established in 1996 as a component of the Government of Jamaica-s strategy to reduce poverty. The Fund promotes, appraises, finances and supervises social and economic infrastructure projects, including schools, roads, agro-processing, water, sanitation, health centres, community centres, homes for children and the elderly, as well as, vocational skills training, counselling, parenting, life education and organizational strengthening.
The Government of Jamaica has received a loan from the World Bank towards the cost of the INTEGRATED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (ICDP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to cover payments under the following contracts for Integrated Infrastructure Projects:
Lot 3 (Bid No. 8084) - Anchovy Integrated Infrastructure Project - St. James (#073419)
The Jamaica Social Investment Fund now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Anchovy Integrated Infrastructure Project, St. James. The scope of works includes but is not limited to the installation of approximately 9.8 km of 200mm diameter Ductile Iron pumping transmission main from Shettlewood Springs to Montpelier to Mount Carey re-lift station. The installation of 2.3 km of 150mm diameter Ductile Iron pumping transmission main from Mount Carey re-lift station to the existing Nelson Storage Tank in Comfort Hall. The Nelson Tank is to be refurbished. The installation of 2 pumps at Shettlewood Springs. The construction period is Twelve (12) months.
All Bidders must be tax compliant at bid opening and a valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) and proof of registration with the National Contracts Commission (NCC) in the categories Grade 1 in “Pipe Laying” AND Grade 1 in “General Road Works” OR Grade 1 in “Civil Engineering” and must be submitted with their bid at the time of bid opening (see www.ncc.gov.jm).
Bids MUST be accompanied by Bid Security in the amount of One Hundred and Twenty-Five Thousand Jamaican Dollars (J$125, 000.00).
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the Jamaica Social Investment Fund at the address above from Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 8:30am to Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Five Hundred Jamaican Dollars (J$2, 500.00) for printed copy in cash or certified cheque made payable to the Jamaica Social Investment Fund. All bids must be submitted in printed copy. Original and Copy of the bid must be submitted in accordance with Instruction to Bidders.
