Rupert and Renfrew Streets Are North-South Arterials that Cross the East-West Cn Rail Line Running Parallel to Grandview Highway. Railway Crossing Blockages Result in Northbound Traffic on Renfrew to Queue onto Grandview and Southbound Traffic on Rupert to Queue onto B Roadway. These Queues Result in Traffic Delays on Renfrew and Rupert and Introduce Safety and Operational Issues on Grandview and Broadway. Removing These Crossings Through Grade Separation (I.E., Under- and Overpasses) is Infeasible Due to Surrounding Land Uses and Existing Infrastructure Such As the Millennium Line. Nanaimo St, Located Approximately One Km West of These Crossings, is Grade Separated and Offers an Alternative Route to Avoid Crossing Blockages on Rupert and Renfrew. Trainfo is Providing Highly Accurate Information Using the Trainfo Congestion Analytics, to Measure Traffic Delay and Collect Railway Crossing Blockage Data. the System is Patent to Trainfo and the Only Company that is Implementing This System. the Contract is Valued at Approximately $64, 575.00 for One Year with an Option to Renew for Another Year Upon Written Approval from the City.
