The naval sea systems command (navsea) is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the capability to perform efforts in support of the aegis weapon system (aws) australia surface combatant baseline development and modernization program. The requirements include the design, development, procurement of materials, manufacturing, assembly, integration, inspection, test, and delivery of the aegis weapon systems baseline, which includes the essm missile systems, mh-60r integration, sonobuoy processing, naval integrated fire control (nifc), sm-6. This work will require the ability to replace the spy-1d (v) radar and mk99 fire control system (fcs) illuminators with the australia domestic ceafar2 active electronically scanned array (aesa) radar for s-band, x-band, and l-band radio frequency (rf). Additionally, this requirement includes the addition of the latest multi-mission signal processor (mmsp-r), sqq-89 sonobuoy processing, iamd and nifc capabilities, and updating of common processing system (cps) and integration of mh-60r.
The scope of work requires demonstrated direct experience with the design, development, procurement of materials, manufacturing, assembly, integration, inspection, test, and delivery of the aegis weapon systems baseline utilizing the software development tools through the aegis common source library construct. Due to the nature of this requirement, a prospective offeror would need to demonstrate the required level of technical expertise.
