Description: This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) seeks Exploratory/Developmental Research Grants (R21) applications on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to advance our scientific knowledge in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with severe speech and physical impairments, (SSPI). AAC is a set of tools and strategies that an individual uses to solve everyday communicative challenges. Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) helps millions worldwide who cannot rely on their natural speech to communicate.
