Tenders are invited for Acquisition of Equipment, Materials and Tools for Biomedical Engineering & Rehabilitation and Mobility Sciences Laboratories.

This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online of 29 june 2018 on-line and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website.

The Government of Rwanda has received financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Regional Centre of Excellence in Biomedical Engineering and eHealth (CEBE) Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Acquisition of equipment, materials and tools for Biomedical engineering & Rehabilitation and Mobility sciences laboratories.

The University of Rwanda now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of Acquisition of equipment, materials and tools for Biomedical engineering & Rehabilitation and Mobility sciences laboratories.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of UR SPIU Procurement office at Kicukiro campus P.O Box 4285 Kigali or on email dvc.fin@ur.ac.rw with a copy to immabugingo@yahoo.com and hatgaston@gmail.com.

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 20, 000 Rwf or 25 USD. This payment can be made to the RRA

Accounts (RRA/NON FISCAL REVENU) opened in all different commercial banks. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods or Procurement of Works.

Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 10.00 a.m Kigali hour / 8.00 a.m GMT on 24 August 2018 and must be accompanied by a security issued by a recognized bank of 7, 500, 000 Rwf (or 8, 700 USD ) and 3, 500, 000 Rwf (or 4, 000 USD) for Lot 1 and Lot 2 respectively .

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 24 August 2018 @ 10.30 a.m Kigali Hour (8.30 a.m GMT) at the offices of UR_SPIU Office at Kicukiro Campus.

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the rules and procedures for procurement of goods & works as revised till to date .
