Ignite announces an Open International Tender for 300,000 Solar Home Systems – EoI due by 22 August 2020

As the fastest-growing Pan-African developer of vital infrastructure projects, Ignite is executing nationwide projects across Africa, allowing people to enjoy electricity in their homes for the first time. Through distribution, financing, and deployment of solar home systems (SHS), all in the most affordable, sustainable, and reliable manner, Ignite is leading Africa into a more inclusive and sustainable future.

Following recent successes, we are expanding operations for further impact and increasing our product mix of SHS through a structured, formal procurement process of 300,000 SHS. As we are scaling fast, we are looking to procure a large volume of systems to satisfy demand.

We are pleased to announce the Ignite Open International Tender (OIT), inviting SHS suppliers to submit their offerings.

Who can apply?

Reputable companies and firms suppling high quality SHS, with a strong track record and appropriate certifications (LG, IEC or other).
