The singer wants to become a new strong wholesale partner for construction and equipping companies, aiming at a three-digit growth

The singer for 2018 announces 140 million profits, 26% more than in 2017, and revenues close to 2 billion kuna, or about 19% more than in 2017, and unofficially in the next two years the target is 2.5 billion revenues, from up to a third from wholesale. Due to the new phase of growth and development, after excellent results, it prepares an investment in employee salaries of HRK 20 million and announces a two-year investment cycle of HRK 200 million in another 4 own sales centers (Vinkovci, Vukovar and two in Split), within which new employment of 200 people, as well as the opening of two centers in which to rent.

Accordingly, by the end of 2020, Pevec would exceed the number of 2000 workers (now 1823), and given that it will soon open the 24th center (in Samobor), by the end of that cycle, they would have a total of 30, or two and half times more than in 2012. It is illustrative that, six years ago, this retail chain had only one center in its possession, and today 10, with a return on investment within three years.

Employees, however, grew their salaries in 2017 and 2018, but for the new and more distinct: starting from 2019, their merchants will receive a net salary from 4100 to 5000 kunas. According to Pevec CEO Jurica Lovrinčević, this is significantly more than average on the domestic retail market.

Calculation of the raise

A set of up-to-date measures of continuous activities in terms of improving the working conditions and education of employees in order to improve the quality of work that will be further strengthened, but also the two rounds of said increase in gross wages by 10%, seem to be assessed as insufficient. The forthcoming period brings challenges to the workforce in the trade branch and on that line, Pevec decides to jump, and after calculating how much the cost can be covered, the salaries of all employees with the exception of management will increase by 1000 kunas. CONSENSED to the complexity criteria of the work and in this sense three classes for traders or warehouses, for those of the lowest complexity, the growth is 24% and for the average 12%. The emphasis is placed on retail and warehouse workers with the lowest wages, but also on workers, because in terms of the hot topic of the week, Pevec is said to be the first to open for change. After the Trade Union of Trade of Croatia and their request for the introduction of the ban on work on Sunday, the support of Pevec (the same is being considered in Konzum and Tommy), at yesterday's press conference Lovrinčević underlined to advocate for a new solution due to satisfied employees, but to care for the interests of the company on the other hand it is not possible to introduce it without regulation. "We would lose the income of about 150 million kunas, but if the ban on Sunday work for the entire sector were introduced, the cost would not be large, because it would be greatly spilled on Saturday and Monday," Lovrinčević said, stressing the importance of HUP's proposal to abolish taxation on the 13th salary, and in this context, the support of the Singer would seem to replace Christmas with the 13th salary.

Strengthening the B2B field

Recently, Dubravka Štefanac Vinovrški joined the manager's management as marketing director and corporate communications director, and Marko Rupčić as the head of the wholesale department. According to Rupcic, who was head of wholesale and projects in Feroterm for the markets of Croatia and Slovenia before the new function, Pevec will open even more important B2B market. The wholesale expansion area is seen in HoReCa channel and public procurement, and state that Pevec wants to become a new strong wholesale partner for all companies in the field of construction and equipping, aiming at a three-digit growth in this segment.

Otherwise, a project for the Vukovar center, an investment of about 40 mil. kuna, has just been completed, and plans to start work until September 2019. In Vinkovci, they are developing a new center project, and in Pitve, Split starts land acquisition. Of the projects related to modernization, Pevec's loyalty program was launched, a pilot project launched at the end of 2017, which already has 300,000 members, for which they end the application.
