The agro-industry sector is the largest choice of investors in the country
The document, which the JE had access, maintains that the proposals have already received the registration certificate and are destined to the Agriculture, Industry, Commerce, Education, Health and Services sectors.
On the other hand, the JE found that in the first half of the year AIPEX registered a total of 27 industry sector investment proposals worth 246.4 million US dollars.
Origin of investments
External investments have a diverse origin, with countries such as China, India, Eritrea and the United Kingdom. Of the foreign investment proposals registered, they are mainly from China and are already estimated at US $ 50 million, for the construction of an industrial complex in the province of Bengo, consisting of five manufacturing units, dedicated to the production of glass, packaging of cardboard, steel products, ceramic products and non-alcoholic beverages.
The document also adds that of the investment proposals registered, US $ 214.7 million (50 percent) corresponds to national investment and 137.3 million (32 percent) to mixed investment, which is characterized by the partnership of nationals or between domestic and foreign investors , and 80.9 million (18 percent) refers to investment from external sources.
Most of the registered investment proposals fall under the prior declaration regime and correspond to 78% of the number of proposals registered (43 proposals). Under the special scheme, 13 investment proposals were registered, corresponding to 22 per cent of the registrations made during the period under review.
In terms of the volume of investment registered, the proposals of the special regime represent about 33 percent of the investment registered, while those of the prior declaration regime correspond to 67 percent.
