He pointed out that there is a signed agreement between Nakilat and McDuermott, as Nakilat already has a shipyard and its potential under that agreement will be exploited to expand the activities of carriers and include elements that it did not have before.

The Minister of State for Energy said that the State of Qatar has enormous potential in the infrastructure sector, which always makes it a destination for many diverse investments that benefit from this potential and enable it to build attractive and effective work in the state, which benefits the economy of the country, especially the private sector. In response to a question about QP's quest to build more tankers, Al-Kaabi said that Nakilat has a large and well-equipped shipyard in Ras Laffan Industrial City and has been able to build many vessels with its partners, taking advantage of its expertise and low cost of raw materials and manpower.
