Punj Lloyd gets LoA for $236 million KNPC project Construction and Real Estate

Punj Lloyd an EPC conglomerate has received a Letter of Award for a $236.09 million project from Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) to extend and remodel Ahmadi Depot in Kuwait.

The scope of work involves the design, procurement, detailed engineering, construction and commissioning of 11 new floating roof product tanks with an estimated capacity of 228,000m3. The project is expected to be finished over 35 months. This project is the first ever contract by Punj Lloyd in Kuwait.

It also involves associated civil work, interconnecting piping, construction of multi-product loading points, sub-substation with all electrical systems consisting emergency power supply.

It further engages in replacement of depot automation systems (TAS), integration to the new tank gauging system, upgrading of existing Vapour Recovery Unit (VRU), Cathodic Protection System with remote monitoring, fire protection system and all utility packages.

According to the CEO, pipeline & tankage of Punj Llyod, Atul Jain - Punj Lloyd will play a vital role in the new project in Kuwait, that will facilitate the enhancement of the storage and loading capacity of fuel at the Ahmadi Depot, which is one among the two depots owned and operated by Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC).

A good increase in our order book has been noted in the first quarter.
