Miami-Dade County awards $91 million wastewater contract  Environment and Sanitation

Miami-Dade County commissioners in Florida has awarded a $91 million contract to Aecom in Florida to oversee $1.6 billion in federally assigned repairs to the county’s sewer system.

As per the project, Aecom will facilitate program and construction management services for the modification of the present wastewater treatment plants and the collection and transmission system pipes and pump stations, consisting inspecting and supporting the early planning, design and construction stages of the capital program.

The company will also look after the application of various capacity, management, operations and maintenance programs needed by a federal consent decree.

The project facilitates great opportunity to exhibit Aecom’s proficiency in delivering complex and significant projects, which consists various large water and wastewater projects all over the world. The contract awarded is of five-year, with two five-year extension options.
