The Omani-Turkish Business Council held its second meeting in 2018 in Istanbul recently, under the chairmanship of Sheikh Salem bin Abdullah Al-Rawas, President of the Omani side.

The meeting was attended by a delegation from the Chamber Branch in Buraimi Governorate, headed by the Chairman of the Chamber Branch of Al Buraimi Governorate, Head of Delegation, Zaher Al Kaabi.

The meeting discussed several common issues, including activating the role of the council and its work plan. The discussion also discussed the possibility of opening a branch of a Turkish bank in the Sultanate. Talks were also discussed about the mechanism of increasing trade and investment exchange and finding joint projects between the Sultanate and Turkey. Between the members of the Council from both sides, as was done during The meeting invited Turkish investment companies to enter and invest in the Sultanate. On the sidelines of the meeting, bilateral meetings were held between Omani businessmen and their Turkish counterparts
