Integra gets contract to increase bandwidth for agencies Technology and Equipment

California State has awarded Integra, Oregon based company, another contract to assist government agencies to expand more bandwidth for its online connections, covering both open and private networks.

Integra owns and operates metropolitan glass fiber networks across California and the West.

Integra won the first-phase contract, in January, which permits to seek government business through California as a part of CALNET 3, a contract applied to assist the state telecommunications program. That program was designed to help get advance telecommunications services out to state and local agencies and departments.

The California Department of Technology Statewide Technology Procurement Division awards Integra with the second contract which subjects to expand more broadband services, such as Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) ring connectivity, Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) Ethernet, SONET point-to-point connectivity and managed Internet services.

Integra’s second award from CALNET 3 proves its reputation serving state and local governments with a complete range of voice, data and networking solutions. The company is contented to be a part of this creative, futuristic approach technology initiative and looking forward to the mission- critical work of assisting California state agencies and the rest who serve them, say, Kevin O’Hara, CEO, Integra.

The company has dense metro fiber networks in Sacramento and San Francisco. The privately owned network involves 6,400 miles of long-haul fiber-optic infrastructure and some 3,000 miles of metro fiber in 35 cities in 11 states.
