Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co has been awarded by Mirfa Project Co, a unit of Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority a $715.4 million (723.9 billion won) order to repair and install power and water treatment plants in the UAE.
The South Korean builder said in the regulatory filing the contract is likely to be completed by April 2017, but the date was subject to change.
A dedicated base is to be build up at Kizad Port as per the agreement signed between Hyundai E&C and Abu Dhabi Ports Company, in May.
The company will utilise the 40,000m2 plot of land, with 4,536m2 of warehousing, to import and export shipment to assist its activity on the Satah Al-Razzboot offshore oilfield scheme, where it is delivering package four for ADMA-OPCO, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
As well as temporarily storing tools, a fabrication yard will also be build up to erect parts for sites.
