Design and Deliver a Climate Change Awareness Programme for Policymakers and Government Ministries

The Ministry of Economic Growths & Job Creation is searching for a consulting firm with experience in designing and delivering training programmes for public sector professionals. The overall objective of this consultancy is to increase awareness of the causes and impacts of climate change and to build capacity for climate change mainstreaming into development planning in Jamaica by designing and conducting a Climate Change Awareness Programme for Policymakers and Government Ministries.

The Specific Objectives are:

1. To develop a Climate Change Awareness Programme for Policymakers and Government Ministries in order to increase their awareness on: the potential impacts of climate change, measures to build climate resilience and actions which may be taken towards climate impacts, by conducting targeted workshops and seminars at national and local
government levels including a focus to engage with civil society.

2. To provide communication strategies, tools, training and relevant information to generate long-term behavioural change.

a. Profile and background of the consulting firm;
b. Capabilities of the firm to develop the requested activities, in particular demonstration of the firm’s experience in designing and delivering training courses to professionals in the public sector, as well as providing climate change awareness/training. The relevant experience in this regard must be included;
c. Description of similar assignments undertaken;
d. Experience as Consultant contracted services for the past seven years and specifically, participation as Consultant in a role that is similar to
the proposed Consulting services within the last seven years;
e. Working experience in Caribbean countries similar to Jamaica

The expression of interest should not exceed ten (10) pages

The Ministry of Economic Growth & Job Creation now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services.
Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.

Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications
