The installation work of ETCS Level 2 signalling system on two high speed lines under construction in northwest Spain region has been awarded by Adif, a Spanish state-owned infrastructure manager to a corporation by Alstom consisting Bombardier and Indra.
The new facility will connect Valladolid, with Venta de Baños and Leon, and Venta de Baños with Burgos. The project completion will boost high speed services between Gijon, Madrid, Bilbao and San Sebastián.
Bombardier with a share of €144m in the entire contract will undertake installation of Interflo 450 Level 2 system on the Venta de Baños – Burgos region. The system will consists of , Ebi Lock 950 computer-based interlocking, Ebi Com radio block centre, Ebi Link balises, and train detection functions.
Bombardier will setup its system within a period of 24 months and will arrange a two-year warranty and maintenance for 20 years.
