The Supreme Committee for Projects and the Qatari Legacy announced that the year 2019 will witness the culmination of the construction of stadiums to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022.

The committee is responsible for implementing the infrastructure projects to host the first Middle East tournament between 21 November and 18 December 2020. The committee added in a statement that in 2019 two other venues, Al Wakra, "The House," in addition to Khalifa International Stadium, which opened in May 2017. She added that each Mondiali Stadium "tells a special story that reflects its architectural style inspired by the Arab heritage, the Qatari environment and its rich culture." She explained that the design of the stadium «House» in the city of Al Khor «similar to the House of poetry or traditional Bedouin tent, inhabited by Arabs since ancient times, while taking us Al Wakra in the design of the sails used by residents of the city of Al Wakra coastal trade, fishing and pearl. The year 2018 had seen remarkable progress in project delivery and had been fraught with many challenges and achievements. She stressed that in the coming years, she was determined to continue to make progress until the whistle for the start of the World Cup. At the 2018 World Cup in Russia, she sent a delegation of 120 staff, including project managers, to get a closer look at the various aspects of the tournament.
